Schweinsteiger facing three match ban for Reid's clash

Bastian Schweinsteiger could be banned for three matches if found guilty for his clash with West Ham's defender Winston Reid in United's last match with the Hammers.

The clash occurred as both players jostled for position as United were about to take a free kick.

Referee Mark Clatenburg missed the incident as Schweinsteiger bombed into Reid, but the incident was caught on camera.

After the match angered West Ham manager Bilic said the German should have sent off for the incident. “It’s a clear red card. A straight red without any doubts.” He said.

The Football association will set up a committee that will watch the footage carefully, and if found guilty, the German would be banned for three matches.

He risk missing matches against Bournemouth, Norwich and Stoke.

With Schneiderlin battling with a knock a Schweinsteiger ban is the least thing United will be hoping for.

Do you think Bastian deserved  a red card for the incident?
