Giggs on the touchline was planned: Van Gaal

One of the minor criticism Van Gaal has faced from the fans, is that he never stands up to ginger or motivate his players during games, as most managers do on the touchline.

The Dutchman will rather sit down and take notes during games.

This hasn't gone well with some section of the fans, and with assistant manager Ryan Giggs standing up to give instructions to the players during the last few games,  the criticism had risen.

But the Dutch tactician has said Giggs was given the permission to that. He was quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying :

“In the last match he (Giggs) had a lot of time on the touchline. He has to give the advice to the players. He can do that because we speak about that."

“You are at the sideline when it is not going well. And that’s the reason.”

Do you think United should appoint Giggs as its next manager?
