Jorge Mendes, Mourinho's agent has said that Manchester United have not made contact or engage in contract talks with the former Chelsea manager.
It has been widely circulated that Mourinho will replace Van Gaal at United and some reports went as far as saying the Portuguese has agreed a pay cut to in other to join United on a a five year deal.
But Mendes has quashed reports of any talks going on between United and his client [Mourinho]. Speaking to Globoesporte, he said:
"There is nothing. We don't know what will happen in the future, but now there is no agreement. There isn't an official proposal either, that's not true."
This means reports of any contract talks are not true, and United may be planning to give Van Gaal some more time to change things around.
It is widely believed that results of United's next two matches against Stoke and Chelsea will have a huge say in what happens to the Dutch coach.
