The former Chelsea star has revealed his toughest defensive opponents. Every striker biggest headache is the opposition defenders, and a striker of Drogba's class has faced the sword of a lot of defenders in his playing career especially when he was in Europe.
The former Champions League winner has picked the duo of Rio Ferdinand and Nemnaja Vidic as his toughest opposition.
Chelsea and Manchester United have had a lot of epic footballing battles, especially during the Sir Alex Ferguson era. United defeated Chelsea in the historic all English Champions League final in 2008, and both teams have had a lot of close battles for the Premier League.
When asked about the best defender he has faced on Soccer AM, he answered: “It is difficult to say, but I would say the best pairing was Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.”
Both men were the heart of the defence that ushered in the last golden era at Old Trafford. And Rio Ferdinand recently described Vidic as his best defensive partner ever.
