Former Manchester United players Rio Ferdinand and Dwight Yorke have given their reactions to United's defeat to Stoke City on boxing day. The 2-0 defeat means United have lost their last four matches and are without a win in their last seven.
The defeat further heightened pressure on manager Van Gaal, with fans calling for his sack.
Former defender Ferdinand summed up his reaction in a tweet.
The tweet expressed his support for the team, while the defender also said he is not surprise at the team's performance and result.
He tweeted:
I'm not even surprised....that's what hurts even more at @ManUtd ....come on boys

The B.T sports pundit has always been critical of the team's style of play under Van Gaal.
Dwight Yorke while speaking on Sky Sports said Van Gaal took a big gamble and mistake leaving skipper Wayne Rooney out of his starting eleven while claiming the team is boring to watch.
The Sky pundit said:
"Leaving out your talisman, your captain in the most difficult situation; someone with the experience, although his performances have not been the greatest, I just felt it went against him and he (Van Gaal) got it wrong
again this afternoon,"
"I just think the timing was wrong. I think there have been so many opportunities probably to leave Wazza out and I just felt that in his most difficult spell as the manager of Manchester United, to leave your captain out, was a big call."
The former United front man said the team lacked confidence.
"I have to say it was painful to watch Man United, I felt that it was a team lacking in confidence. No sparkle whatsoever in that team."
United host Chelsea next on the 28th with a lot of question mark still hanging on manager Van Gaal.
