Ancelotti can wait for United job

The former Chelsea manager has publicly shown his interest in managing United.

Some section of the United fans are unhappy with current manager Van Gaal - his philosophy and the team's current string of results. His current contract expires 2017, though depending on results before then he may be given an extension or otherwise.

Fans and media have linked current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola to United. Though reports have it that the United board are currently happy with Van Gaal, and do not intend sacking him for now.

But Ancelloti believes the United job is every manager's dream job. In an interview with The Independent, speaking on the United role he said:

"Of course, for every manager, they would all think of managing Manchester United."

While being interested in a job in England, he is also prepared to wait for the right job.

"I will continue to wait. If I don't find a club with a good project, I can wait."

"I would like to come back in a club with a good project, but, of course, one that is competitive."

"The Premier League is the best in the sense of atmosphere, ambience. It is also competitive, so I would like to come back, especially for the atmosphere." He added.

With statements like this,  the Italian has put himself for the running of the United Job, in case it becomes available.
