Michael Carrick is still in a dark about his future at the club.
Carrick, 34 is one of the oldest and most experienced players in the current United squad. His contract expires in the summer, and United are yet to open up discussion as to a new deal with the player.
Carrick is however calm and relaxed over the whole situation.
Though he doesn't know what the club is however planning, he is hopeful of securing a new deal. Speaking after the Derby victory he said:
"I haven’t heard anything just at the moment. Hopefully I will sometime soon.
“I am not making a big deal of it, to be honest. I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I am quite relaxed about it.”
The player would be clocking 35 in the summer, and his future will most likely depend on who becomes United's next manager, though with his experience and status at the club, he will most likely be given a year extension.
