Manchester United 1-1 West Ham: Player Ratings

De Gea: 7

Yet another great game from the United shot stopper. Two or three magnificent saves. One late on in the game, from Antonio's low shot.

Varela: 6

Had a good game. Quick and was effective going forward. Pulled in a number of decent crosses. Had a vital clearance midway the second half.

Smalling: 6

Not the best of games for the Englishman. Had a tough evening with Carroll, Eminike Payer and others.

Blind: 5

Another not too convincing outing from the Dutchman. Lucky United didn't conceded from his error.

Rojo: 5.5

Luck not have conceded a penalty. Did a good job on the attack.

Fellaini: 4

Another typical Fellaini performance. Never got into the flow if the game. Neither defensive or offensive.

Carrick: 5.5

Age is probably taking it's toll on the Englishman. Calmed things down in the midfield, but at times over calmed things. Lost possession cheaply once or twice.

Martial: 7.5

Got the most important goal for United. Wasted on the left, for most of the game. His best moments were from the centre where he bagged his goal. United's brightest man in the final third.

Herrera: 6

Started in his favorite position: the number 10 role. Looked lively at times and had a number of shots blocked. Could have influenced the game better.

Lingard: 5.5
Another pedestrian performance from the winger. Looked lively occasionally. But in all wasn't effective.

Rashford: 6

Looked bright as always. Was denied time and space by the water tight West Ham defence.

Substitutes

Schweinsteiger: 6

Came in and inject life, speedy passes and the connection between the midfield and attack. A very effective substitution.

Depay: 5

Had a good share of the ball, but didn't do much with it.

Darmian: No rating

Didn't have enough time to influence the game.
