Confirmed: Anthony Martial sets new Manchester United record after C. Ronaldo

Anthony Martial has just added another feather to his cap at United.

The striker is now the only United player after Cristiano Ronaldo to score in five different competitions for the club in one season.

Martial attained the feat with his goal against Liverpool in  the second leg of the  Europa League round of 16.

The Frenchman was fouled in the box and cooly converted resulting penalty.

The player had scored for United in the Premier League opening his account on his debut against Liverpool.
He got his second competition goal for United in the 3-0 win over Ipswich in the Capital One Cup.

He also scored against Wolfsburg in the Champions League, and he also netted the equalising goal against West  Ham in the FA Cup. His FA Cup goal is still keeping United in the tie.

Former United star Ronaldo also scored in all these competition for United except the Europa League. He however got his fifth competition goal in the World Club Cup, which United won in 2008, his last season at Old Trafford.
