4-2-3-1: My Manchester United starting eleven Vs Liverpool tonight

Manchester United will be hoping to overturn a 2-0 defeat suffered at Anfield last week.

United were not convincing against West Ham at Old Trafford, and will be getting another chance to appease the home fans.

De Gea starts in goal.

Varela had a nice timeout against West Ham, and I expect him to continue at right back. The trio of Smalling, Blind and Rojo completes the back four.

The central midfield is where Van Gaal will have some headache.

Schweinsteiger was impressive when he came on against West Ham, and I think he should start ahead of Fellaini.

Carrick will have to up his game, and bring his experience to bare in this game, so he gets my nod for a start.

Lingard starts on the left this time around to accommodate Rashford on the right.

Mata returns to the team in his favorite number 10 position.

A lot will have to rest on the shoulders of Martial who for me should start in the central striking position, leading the lines.

That's my most preferred starting eleven.

What's yours?

How would you want to see United lineup for this highly important match?
