Mourinho tells star forward to join him at United

The Portuguese is the favorite to become United's next manager.

Unconfirmed reports of a deal between the former Chelsea boss and United have surfaced but both camps are keeping mute over the situation.

According to reports in Spain, Mourinho has told Real Madrid star James Rodriguez to join him at Old Trafford.

The Colombian has been a long term target for United, and rejected the club to move to Madrid after his World Cup exploits in 2014.

The attacking midfielder is however currently unhappy with life at the Spanish club and is ready for a move.

Real will be wiling to let the player leave at the right price, as fans are already criticising the player for his recent performances.

Spanish media outfit Don Balon leads the report that Mourinho wants the player to join him at United.

José Mourinho and James Rodríguez share the same agent in Jorge Mendes, which could make the move a lot easier.
