At 34, Michael Carrick has admitted that he doesn't expect to play every game or every full game.
Van Gaal has been left with a lot of selection headache in the midfield. With players like Fellaini, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Carrick and sometimes Herrera all battling for two positions in the United centre midfield.
The Englishman has started a whopping 25 games this season, and has an additional eight appearances as substitute.
Carrick who would be 35 come July knows he can't play all games.
“You just accept that when you come to a certain age you can’t play every game or every full game." He said Via Mirror.
“That's just part of it. But that’s not something that I have worried about at all. As long as I'm playing well enough I'll be part of the team." He added.
