The United gaffer has praised returning captain Wayne Rooney for his impact in the victory over Villa.
The Englishman was making his first start in over two months, due to injury.
The United skipper initiated the move that led to United's only goal of the match, when his over 60m pass located Antonio Valencia, who crossed into the box for Rashford to finish.
"He played a very good first half, switched the play a lot of times, the goal was a fantastic switch.
In the second half he loses balls because he is tired and the rhythm is still high. When you are two months out it is difficult."
