4-2-3-1: My Manchester United eleven to face Crystal Palace: Rooney, Martial starts, Mata benched

United have two serious games this week, but will have to take things as they come.

Arsenal's draw with Palace over the weekend and City's draw with Newcastle on Tuesday means United stand a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League if they can win all their games.

United must step up their game if they would get the better of a Palace team that shared points with the Gunners.

De Gea starts in goal.

Fosu-Mensah should start at right back. Chris Smalling and Daley Blind would continue their partnership at centre back. Rojo completes the back four at left back.

Expect Van Gaal to tweak things in the midfield. But I'll prefer to see the combination of Schneiderlin and Carrick for this game.

Martial started from the bench against Villa, but with the magnitude of this game, I expect him to start on the left side of the United attack. Lingard starts on the right.

Wayne Rooney had a nice first half against Villa, where he dropped dip on a number of occasions, linking the midfield and attack. I expect him to start in the number 10 role,  with Mata starting from the bench if need be.

Rashford leads the lines once again.

That's my most preferred starting eleven, what's yours?
