The striker has been at the centre of attraction since he made his debut in the Europa League in February scoring a brace. He has since scored seven goals in thirteen matches, a record that has seen him displaced Rooney and Martial as the team's current first striker.
"First and foremost I would like to say I’m a big fan of the kid."

The Frenchman knows that there are some exceptional talents and cases where a young player moves straight into the national team, he however advises Rashford to play with the age group team of the national team, for a while before graduating into the national team.
"There is a way to do it, then you have guys like [Michael] Owen and Rooney that will just go through because they’re special and went on to prove it was right.
"I think it will do [Rashford] good to have a tournament with the U21s or U19s or whatever it’s going to be. But, I also think, if someone is injured, is he going to be the next one on the list? Who knows..."
