The Manchester United left back is hoping to return playing on the pitch with his teammates very soon.
Shaw has been out of action sine September after a horrific injury in the Champions League away match with PSV.
The 20 year old has started training outside and hope to join his mates on the pitch.
He posted on Instagram:
"Training is going really well outside. Can't wait to be back on the pitch with the team."
Van Gaal however seem has given up hopes that the Englishman may still feature for United this season, after saying that the player knows he can't play for United this season, even if the team reaches the final of the FA Cup.
