Everton preparing shock move for major Manchester United summer target

The Toffees are reportedly considering a shock move for José Mourinho.

The former Chelsea manager is the favorite to succeed Van Gaal as United boss.

Current Everton boss Roberto Martinez is under immense pressure at the Merseyside club, after the team's poor showing in the league that has left them currently 11th on the table.

With the strong financial backing of Farhad Moshiri, Everton may just pull off a super deal in bringing the former Chelsea manager to the club.
Both clubs would meet in the FA Cup semifinal at Wembley, in a match that would have a huge say in whether any of the two managers in question get sacked.

For Everton winning the FA Cup would be a huge boost, and that may keep Martinez in the job.

For Van Gaal, the FA Cup would most likely still not be enough to keep him at Old Trafford next season.

United are Mourinho's first target, buy with the Old Trafford top officials seemingly delaying the deal, the Portuguese will sure consider other offers.
