United to offer Michael Carrick a new deal, but he'll wait till....

Michael Carrick has been told by United, he has to wait until the team's managerial position is sorted out before he can be offered a new deal. According to the Sun.

Carrick, 34 is one of the oldest and most experienced players in the current United squad.

His contract expires in the summer making him available to negotiations with other clubs, though the player has voiced out his desire to stay at United.

According to the report, the club is willing to offer the player a new contract, but he will have to exercise some patience till United appoints a new manager.

Carrick has made 33 appearance for United this season, and that means his future will most likely depend on who becomes United's new manager.

Though whoever that is, the player will almost certainly be retained and offered a new deal.
