French legend Robert Pires has said Anthony Martial should be starting for the French team in the ongoing European Championship.
The Manchester United forward was a late substitute in the Les Bleus opening game against Romania.
Pires who won the World Cup with France in 1998 believes the 20 year old can make a big impact.
"In my book, maybe he should start. Martial is very important to France. He’s young, too, but is coming off a very good season at Manchester United and I think he can do well. Pires said via the Sun.
"The French team is all about the 23-strong squad and not just the biggest names like Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann. And Martial can make a big impact."
