Louis Van Gaal has come out to say his lacks pace, speedy and creative players on the flanks, and this might push him into the January transfer market.
United have been solid defensively, but have lacked the cutting edge, speed and accuracy to break down defences.
At the start of the season, United signed Memphis Depay, but the Dutchman has struggled for form and consistency.
"I have said already in my first year many times we need speed and creativity on the wings." The Dutch gaffer said.
"Now we play with Jesse Lingard and he is not the most speedy winger in the world, and Mata is also not the most speedy winger in the world''.
"So first we must first finish that problem and then we can see how we play and how we are in balance with playing with speedy wingers." He added.
This means Van Gaal is on a look out for fast and creative wingers. United have been linked to a lot of high profile players like Gareth Bale, Marco Reus, and the likes.
