Just returning Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney is in line to feature against the Hammers on Wednesday.
United travel to Upton Park for a F.A Cup replay with a place in the semi-finals of the F.A Cup at stake. The match comes after United's 3-0 loss to Tottenham in the League.
The United captain have missed the team's last twelve games. He however made his return to the U-21 side in their 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Monday.
The striker played 60 minutes, with Van Gaal watching.
In his absence, United have had to depend on 18 year old Rashford for the goals.
The youngster has done well, starting United's last ten matches, scoring five vital goals in the process.
Van Gaal has said Rooney could feature against the Hammers if he proves his fitness against Middlesbrough.
Rooney was not though at his best in the return game. And it remains to be seen if Van Gaal was impressed with Hus fitness level.
But with United struggling upfront for goals, the striker is most likely to return against the Hammers, even if as a substitute.
