Club legend says turning down a good offer from Man United for top striker is almost impossible

Manchester United  have been linked with a lot of strikers since José Mourinho was confirmed manager.

One of such is Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine worked with Mourinho at Madrid, and a reunion will not be out of place at Old Trafford.

The 28 year old was one of Europe's top scorers last season, with 36 goals in 35 Serie A appearances.  Napoli will want to keep their top man, but club legend Jose Alberti says clubs like Manchester United and PSG can always snap up their priced assets at a good price.

"As a Napoli fan I hope Higuain remains, because the Blues could win the championship with him," he said.

"PSG and Manchester United have a lot of money and with the offers made by these teams we should make him a statue if it decides to stay in Naples.

''The team of Maurizio Sarri next year will, have to at least try to confirm second place although I think all the rest of Serie A will also reinforce." He concluded.

With United lacking experience in the final third, a striker like Higuain will sure be a huge relief. United have been closely linked with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but as it stands, his move to United is not sure.

There is still enough time for José to weigh his options though, but getting a top striker should be one of his priority.

Except if he wants to convert Martial to his number one striker, which will also be a welcomed development among fans.
