Wayne Rooney's testimonial match between Manchester United and Everton has been scheduled for Wednesday 3 August 2016, kick-off: 20:00 BST.
The match will be between the only two Premier League teams the United skipper has played for.
Rooney joined United from Everton at 18, for a then record fee of £25.6, the highest fee paid for a player under 20 years. He joined Everton as a schoolboy at nine and made his debut for the Toffees in 2002 at age 16.
The United captain is aiming to raise £5m from the match, that will be donated to for disadvantaged and vulnerable children.
The match will also be Jose Mourinho's first at Old Trafford, as United manager. The game will be played as a preseason match, and will be United's first preseason fixture at Old Trafford in twelve years.
