Sergio Ramos: The whole squad's supporting De Gea

The Real Madrid defender has claimed the Spanish team is as United as ever despite allegations of sexual assault levelled against David de Gea.

The United goalkeeper and other Spanish international (though not in the Spanish Euro squad)  are being investigated for sexually assaulting a lady in Madrid in 2012. This led to rumors that the United shot stopper has or  would be sent home by Del Bosque, which were all false.

Ramos said De Gea has the backing of the whole team.

"It is unpleasant news to receive, but obviously when it affects a teammate he needs the support from the entire squad and we have to give him that." He said

"We haven't needed to unite more due to the controversy because we have always been a great group.

"There has always been a great atmosphere here and we all have the same objectives."
