Manchester United defender Paddy McNair has revealed that he almost sent the wrong reply message to José Mourinho after the new United manager sent him a good will message ahead of the European Championship.
McNair who would be hoping to help the Northern Ireland team to a decent competition.
"It was nice of him to send that." McNair said.
"I did reply by saying I was looking forward to playing in the tournament and to working under him.
"Luckily, the club had sent all the players an e-mail beforehand telling us he was going to text us."
Thanks to the earlier sent e-mail, McNair said he would have thought the message was a prank form home.
"I know plenty of people back in Ballyclare who would have thought nothing of winding me up, then Jose might have got a reply he wasn’t expecting!"
