Jesse Lingard wins club award

The Manchester United youngster's FA Cup winning goal against Crystal Palace has been voted by the club fans as the goal of the month for May.

The frenetic final looked like heading into penalties, before the 22 year old fired home, after a Palace clearance fell to him, just outside the 18 yard box, to win United's first title in three years.

Lingard's goal pulled 76% of the total votes cast, in what would be a landslide victory for the Englishman. Anthony Martial's goal against West Ham was voted second with 8%, while Rooney's goal against Bournemouth came third with 6%.

It is the third time, Lingard will be winning the award with his spectacular goals for United this season.

Against Chelsea, he also scored a wonderful late goal that looked like the winner, before the Blues equalized late on.
