Manchester United have won the race to sign Swiss youngster Breel Embolo according to reports from his country.
Reports emerged yesterday, that United acted swiftly in the race meet up with negotiations on the youngster after it became clear that a host of clubs including Tottenham had registered their interest in the 19 year old.
At 19, Embolo has won the Swiss League thrice on a roll with Basel, and scored ten goals last season.
Just proroted German side Rasen Ballsport Leipzig, have reportedly made a move the player.
The club backed by their new Red Bull energy drink made a £15m bid for the player, but have pulled out, after learning that United have won the race to land the player and they can't match United's personal offer to the player.
According to Leipziger Volkszeitung, the Ralf Rangnick managed team offered a contract over £2.3m per year to the player, but can't match United's £4.6m being offered to the player.
United will seek to complete negotiations after the European Champion as the player would be representing Switzerland.
