Manchester United defender Paddy McNair has revealed that the new Manchester United manager sent him a good luck message ahead of the European Championship.
The 21 year old will be featuring for Northern Ireland, and is hoping he can impress Mourinho, who he believes will be watching.
"He sent me a text message wishing me good luck for the tournament which was nice of him." McNair said speaking ahead of their Sunday opener against Poland.
"I'm sure he'll be watching and I'll be trying my best and hopefully he likes what he sees."
Great PR from Mourinho. He would have sent the messages to all United players featuring in the Championship.
While he's not meet with the players physically, he is socially in touch.
McNair will be hoping for better times under the Portuguese, as he didn't enjoy much playing time under Van Gaal.
