Country legend coach urges Man United target to leave current club

Former Colombia player and  manager Hernan Dario Gómez has advised James Rodriquez to leave his current club Real Madrid.

Rodriguez has endured a tough second season, at the capital club this year, as he isn't a key player of Zidane's new setup.

James featured for Madrid 26 times for Madrid in the League last season scoring seven goals.

The player has been linked to a reunion with Mourinho in Manchester, but he came out after the Champions League triumph that he would be staying on at Madrid.

Current Panama manager and former Colombia manager Hernan Dario 'Bolillo' Gómez, however believes the player should seek a move away from a team where he doesn't feature in the plans of the current manager.

"My advice to James is that it is best if he goes and plays for another team as it seems clear that the man [Zidane] doesn't want to use him," He said via AS.

"He [James] is a world class player and he should go to another team.

"It's a personal thing, he is an idol of ours and we want to see him play, but with this man [Zidane] he's not being used, I don't like that."

Interest in the player from a United's perspective have decline over the last few weeks, and the possibility if signing the 24 year old has reduced greatly.
