Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has admitted that José Mourinho may want to sign defender Raphael Varane, but has warned that he is not for sale.
The Portuguese is clearly the favorite to take over at United, with Van Gaal struggling to qualify for the champions league, while the brand of football is also not appealing.
It is almost sure that Mourinho will get in his kind if players if he eventually becomes the United manager, and the the young French defender fits into his pattern.
Speaking to reject the move, the Madrid manager said:
"Of course it is normal Mourinho would want to sign Raphael.
"He knows him well, he brought him here to the club. But I want Varane to stay in Madrid. He is the future of the club."
