Exclusive report from Manchester Evening News and the Sun has revealed that Manchester United made contact with José Mourinho's camp regarding a move to Old Trafford after United's loss to the Danish Champions.
Thursday's defeat in Denmark to Midtjylland, was United's second straight defeat in a season with many lows for United.
The Portuguese is currently been courted by former team Inter Milan, though he has quashed reports of a move back to Inter, M.E.N reports that United contacted Mourinho's agent Mendes to ask about his seriousness with the Inter Milan link.
Mourinho and Manchester United have always have a friend-enemy relationship, but the Portuguese seems to be the best currently for the United job.
