Mourinho to make PSG star his first United signing

José Mourinho could make PSG striker Edinson Cavani, one of his first signing of he moves to Old Trafford, according to ITA Sport Press.

The Portuguese is the favorite to take over from Van Gaal whose current United side are underperforming.

The top four is almost out of reach for United plus his brand of football and management have come under intense criticism for most part of this season.

The report has it that Mourinho could get the powerful striker for £35m.

Cavani, 29 has scored 11 goals in 22 league appearances for the French Champions this season.

He is reportedly not perfectly happy at the club and may be opened to a move. The player prefers to attack as the centre striker, but coach Laurent Blanc prefers to  play him from the wings.
