Manchester United have made a request to recall the winger back from his loan at Borrusia Dortmund because of lack of playing time.
The Belgian opted for the German club due to lack of first team action at United in a move that Van Gaal described as "big risk".
He has six appearances for Dortmund in the league, all as substitutes and not scored a goal for the team. He only has one assist to his credit and looks like a peripheral part of the team.
He has only started two Europa league games, and the United management are not happy.
Both teams according to Sky Sports are in advance talk to end the deal.
