Manchester United will not be welcoming any injured player back into the team ahead of the Stoke tie.
Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will sit out the tie as the last match of the three match suspension for elbowing West Ham's defender Reid.
Defender Matteo Darmian will miss the match, as he recovers from his hamstring injury and manager Van Gaal has set the Chelsea tie for his return. Phil Jones played the full ninety minute against Norwich and should also be ready for the tie.
Tyler Blackett has been recalled from his loan at Celtic but may not be in the squad.
Winger Jesse Lingard also will miss the match with an hamstring injury, while long term absentees Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo are all out.
Manchester United squad today exactly the same as 18-man matchday squad vs Norwich.
