Rio Ferdinand urges United to get 'best manager on the planet' (Guardiola) now or never

The former United defender has urged his old team to get the best manager in the planet now as he may not manage two clubs in England.

Though the Spanish manager is yet to update the media on his future, it's been widely reported that he is set to leave Bayern at the end of this season.

This has led to speculations about a move to several English clubs. One of the two Manchester teams were thought to be his most likely destination,  but with the sacking of José Mourinho, Chelsea is also a potential destination. The timing of Mourinho's sack and Guardiola's expected departure makes a perfect match.

But with United struggling to find shape and form under Van Gaal, Ferdinand thinks a move for Guardiola would be now or never for United. He told the Guardian.

"The thing with Manchester United is that he will go to one Premier League team and won't be going to another." Ferdinand said.

"There is one chance, you have one chance to get him. He won't go to Manchester City and then to United. He's not going to go to Chelsea
and then United. It won't happen, so you've got one chance to get the best manager on the planet."
