Manchester United will make a January bid in the region of £29m for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian has been in superb for for the surprise table toppers scoring 13 goals and having six assists to his credit.
Daily Express via Le 10 is reporting that United will make an attempt to sign the player, and will face stiff competition from rivals Arsenal who are also thought to be interested in the player.
Van Gaal has bemoaned the lack of creativity and speed on the United wing, and may see Mahrez as a solution.
Dutch winger Memphis Depay has been Under performing and may prompt Van Gaal to reinforce his flanks come January.
