Manchester United will try to win the Europa League, Van Gaal has revealed.
Manchester United were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday after the 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg.
Media and fans believe that United's prolonged participation on Thursday nights will affect the team's effectiveness in the league. But manager Van Gaal says the team will try to win the competition.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Bournemouth clash he said:
"We are now in the Europa League so now we have to win it. That is not easy. I can say that in advance but nobody hears me. They don't want to hear me because a club like United has to win."
