Manchester United awaits Europa League draws today

Manchester United will know their Europa League opponent today.

United were widely expected to quality from their Champions League group, but couldn't make it through.

Here are some main to points regarding the draws:

- It is the round of 32, both teams will face each other home and away for a winner to qualify to the round of 16.


- There are two pots, 16 seeded teams, and 16 unseeded teams.


- Manchester United are seeded which means the second leg of their tie would be played at home. (Old Trafford)

- No two sides from the same association can face each other, so Manchester United will avoid league rivals Liverpool and Tottenham.


- Here are the 16 seeded teams: Athletic Bilbao, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen, Braga,  Krasnodar, Lazio, Liverpool, Lokomotiv Moscow,  Manchester United, Molde, Napoli, Olympiakos, Porto, Rapid Vienna, Schalke, Tottenham.


- Here are the unseeded teams:   Anderlecht, Augsburg,  Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce, Fiorentina,   Galatasaray,  Marseille, Midtjylland, Sevilla, Sion, St Etienne, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting Lisbon, Sparta Prague, Valencia and Villarreal.


The first legs of the ties will be played either on 18 or 25 February, though UEFA will confirm the exact dates today.

Second leg comes up 10 and 17 March.
