The United manager is calling for consistency after his team's recently discovered form.
United have won four of their last four, and with some of the teams above United dropping points, the top four is looking feasible for United again, after a lot of disappointing defeats and draws.
United travel to face West Brom over the weekend and Van Gaal is already looking ahead to the match.
Speaking after United defeated Watford, he said:(Via manutd.com)
“We have to win also against West Brom, because we have to continue this, and then you’re close again (to the top four).
"Against Arsenal, we played very well, and today was more of a fighting game.
"Watford were making it very difficult for us, so the victory tastes very good, especially when our competitors have lost."
On a night were Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham all lost, Unites did themselves a lot of good by getting the three points. Currently United are level with City who have a game in hand.
