Thierry Henry analyses United's top four chances

The Arsenal legend thinks United still stand a chance of making the top four, while admitting that it is going to be difficult.

United lost to West Brom to further compound their woes in their race for the top four.

Having won their last four matches, a lot expected United to grind out the result at the Hawthorns, but Juan Mata's two yellow cards in quick succession and sending  off in the 26th minute means United had a mountain to climb early into the game.

United held on until the 66th minute, when Solomon Rodon broke the deadlock. On a night when United offered next to nothing in the final third, Henry says United's top four challenge  has suffered a blow.

"It is a massive setback." He said on Sky Sports.

"As you can see, he (Van Gaal) is upset at the sending-off of Juan Mata and the goal they conceded was not because they were down to 10 men, they could have defended that a bit better.

"They had a lot of possession, they arrived here on a high, but they are still in the mix. They played a lot of games and it was always going to be difficult here, but it is a blow."

United head into another important run of games, the team travel to Anfield on Thursday, before playing West Ham on the weekend for the FA Cup and then Liverpool in the return leg of the Europa League, and Manchester City.
