Jurgen Klopp unfazed by United's recent record against Liverpool

Van Gaal has faced Liverpool four times since his arrival at Manchester United, and he has won on all occasions. The Dutchman will be hoping to be the first United manager, to win five consecutive matches against the Kops.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is aware of this, but doesn't think United are far better than his team. Speaking ahead of the Europa League clash between the rivals, he said:

"I was only part of one of these four defeats. We lost. Maybe we didn't play absolute best but we played well enough to win.

"United won the last four but it means nothing. It would mean more if they had much more quality than us.

"I think it's pretty close in terms of quality. Both clubs are in a good moment. Louis van Gaal and United handled that pressure really well."

Both managers will be squaring up for the sixth time in their managerial careers, with Van Gaal winning three of those meetings, and the Liverpool manager with two wins.
