Strange facts to show how poor United have been this season

Southampton have won back-to-back league games at Old Trafford against Manchester United for the first time since 1969.

Last year United lost 1-0 at home  Southampton without having a shot on target. Another 1-0 loss this year with only one shot on target.

Manchester United had only one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes, in the 1-0 loss to the Saints.

Against Southampton, United attempted 16 crosses, none were met by a teammate.

United's last 11 home games at Half Time:

0-0 vs Manchester City
0-0 vs  Middlesbrough
0-0 vs CSKA Moscow
0-0 vs  West Brom
0-0 vs PSV
0-0 vs West Ham United
0-1 vs Norwich

United have not scored a goal before half time in their last eleven games at Old Trafford.

United have scored 28 league goals this season, averaging 1.22 goals per match. Only eight times in United's 138 year history have the team scored less.

Manchester United's current 37 points from 23 games is three points lesser  than David Moyes's 40 points at the same stage of the league, when he was the United manager.

Van Gaal has the worst win percentage of any Manchester United manager in the Premier League era - just 49.2 per cent.

At Old Trafford this season, United have gotten nineteen (19) points from a possible thirty (30).
