The United defender collided with the Southampton winger midway into the second half of the match.
Louis Van Gaal has confirmed that the defender has been taken to the hospital. He was substituted straight away, and taken to the hospital. It remains to be see how long he's going to be out for.
According to Van Gaal:
"He's in hospital. He was spitting blood so we have to wait and see."
