Mata and Blind praise United youngster after Derby win: 'He has incredible potential and is unbelievable'

Both players were on the scorers sheet in the 3-1 win over the Rams, but it was Martial that stole the show despite not scoring.

The Frenchman provided two assists , and was a terror to the Derby defence all through the game.

Speaking to MUTV after the game, both players acknowledged the talent and character of the young striker.

Mata described him as an unbelievable player:

"I’ve been really impressed with him. He’s a very good player. He has a lot of good things and can beat almost anyone one-on-one. He can do great crosses like we saw when he passed back to me for the goal(referring to the assist for the third goal) and I really enjoy playing alongside him.

"He has incredible potential..... and for me he is an unbelievable player."

Daley Blind thinks defender won't always want to have the Frenchman as an opposition.

“I think as a defender you are not happy if you have to play against him at the moment.

"He is so quick and he makes good decisions. He can go left or right, and that is difficult for every defender. He gets into great positions and I have said before that he is going to be a great striker."

It was the first time that Martial would be providing two assist in a Manchester United match.

The Frenchman was also voted by United fans as the man of the match, beating defenders Varela and Borthwick-Jackson to the award.
