The former Portsmouth manager thinks Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't do more than what Van Gaal is doing currently with the present United squad.
United are 5th in the table, and risk not qualifying for next season's Champions League. The team have failed to score any first half goal at in its past eleven games at Old Trafford and have only scored 28 goals this season. All these have led to calls to sack manager Van Gaal.
However Redknapp believes, Fergie would have made no difference managing the team. He tweeted:
"More talk today but still don’t see LVG leaving. Even if Sir Alex was there they would still only be 5th or 6th with that group of players".

Van Gaal has spent close to £250m in his two seasons at United, and has let high profile names like Di Maria, Van Persie, Javier Hernandez and others leave United.
A lot of fans and pundits will disagree with Harry on this.
