Former Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon believes that Manchester United can sign either of Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo in the nearest future.
Manchester United are keen admirers of both players, and have been constantly linked with them.
While former United favorite C.Ronaldo has not completely rule out a return to Old Trafford, the deal looks unlikely by the day.
But with an insider like Calderon giving United an element of hope in their pursuit of the stars, a deal could happen depending on how hard United push for it.
He told ESPN:
“Both players (Ronaldo and Bale) have said nothing about what they will do at the end of this season, and that is because they wantto wait and see what is happening at
Real Madrid.”
“The top players in the world always have the option to move to Manchester City or United, to Paris Saint-Germain, to Bayern Munich, maybe Chelsea as well. These are the only clubs that could sign Ronaldo or Bale.”
He stated that United are interested in signing both players.
“United, clearly, are interested in signing both players, and while it would be hard to do a deal to sign Ronaldo and Bale in the same summer, it is very possible that one could move to Manchester United. Of course, this is possible.” He added.
