Another great day in the office for the Spaniard, made a couple of match winning saves. United man of the match undoubtedly.

Young: 5.5

Was having a normal game before he was substituted midway the first half.

Chris Smalling: 6
Marshalled the United defence right. A better and improved performance compared to the Newcastle clash.

Daley Blind: 6.5

He was on top of his game, calm, composed and cool all through the game. Stopping the right balls, picking up the right passes.

Matteo Darmian: 6

Started the game on the left, before switching over to right, fought for every ball and stood his ground. Decent performance from the Italian.

Morgan Schneiderlin: 6

Another quiet but effective performance from the Frenchman. Did his best to stop the Liverpool flow, but was helpless due to the fast and long balls played over the United midfield.

Fellaini: 6.5

A performance with mixed reactions, while he was ineffective as a too defensive midfielder,  lost the balls on a number of occasions, but his influence on the United's goal can't go unnoticed.

Lingard: 4

Poor showing from the young winger, didn't do enough to justify his start. Loosed the ball to easily, and created nothing in the attack.

Ander Herrera: 6

Another silent but effective player for United on the field.  Did a lot defensively, but couldn't contribute much to the attack.

Anthony Martial : 7.5

Undoubtedly United's best player on the attack. Always trying to find the right space and unlock the Liverpool defence, had a number of shot that went slightly off target.

Wayne Rooney:7

Was having an average game before that record breaking moment. They say the big boys turn up in the big games at the big moment, and he did. 176 goals for United, an old Trafford legend without doubt.

Subs:

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson : 7

Brought in for Young midway the first half, fit in into the team without problem. Cool, calm and composed in his biggest United game so far.

Juan Mata: 5.5

Came on late on, had a number of nice touches, but couldn't influence the game much.

Also didn't have any impact on the game, but lately whenever he comes on, United scores.
