Manchester United have had an improved start to the year compared to how it ended last year. United have lost only one match this month, and several players in the United team have put in commendable performances.
Manutd.com the official United website has nominated three players for the January Manchester United player of the month.
Wayne Rooney
Skipper Wayne Rooney has enjoyed a fantastic start to the year. Six goals in his last six appearances says it all. He scored in all but one United's fixtures in January.
Anthony Martial
The young striker won the award last month, and is in contention to win it again. His brilliant performance against Derby is still fresh in our memories. He also assisted Wayne Rooney winning goal against Swansea.
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson
The 18 year old has effortlessly fit into the team without any trace of notice. Since coming on for Ashley Young in victory over Liverpool, he has started the next three games and has put in convincing performances. His positioning, calmness and composure are applaudable.
