This statement from Van Gaal is unacceptable by United's standard

The Manchester United manager has revealed  that his style is working with United, but is not good enough to win titles.

United are currently sixth on the table, almost certain to miss out of Champions League football next season. The team is also on the verge of been knocked out of the Europa League, after losing 2-0 away to Liverpool in the first leg.

Speaking after the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool, he said:  Via BBC

"I think it is working.

"It is not giving the best results. It is not good enough when you think you have to be a champion, or win the Europa League or the FA Cup.

The Dutchman also thinks United he deserves some credit comparing himself to other managers whose team are out of some competition.

"There are many colleagues of mine not in three competitions anymore." He added.

Van Gaal should know that what United  fans expects from him differs from what other club fans demand from their manager and team.

He having spent over £250m should know better.
