Paul Scholes doesn't want to see United become Arsenal

The former United midfielder was highly critical of United's performance in their UEFA cup first leg. United lost  to Liverpool 2-0. It's not just the defeat, but the manner in which it happened.

United were the second best on the night, creating next to nothing in the final third. It was United's second straight defeat, and the team have now conceded four goals in two matches.

Scholes, a  BT Sport analyst for the night said after the game:

"The last thing I want to see is
United being happy with finishing fourth and winning the FA Cup. Arsenal do that."

Currently, United only chance of a silverware is the FA Cup, where the team faces West Ham this weekend.

United are almost out of the race for the top four, and something extraordinary have to happen for United to qualify for the Champions League next season.
